For my first "Presley" post, I want to share how I celebrated the princess of Graceland's 57th birthday.

57 years ago today, Lisa Marie Presley was brought into this world. She was already so eternally loved by both of her parents. Little did she know the beautiful legacy she would grow up to leave behind for her family and those who love her all around the world.

 

​Today, I walked up to the wall encompassing her home and left her a bouquet of flowers as well as lit a candle for her special day. I was sadly reminded of when I laid flowers on this exact same wall, two years ago, in honor of her passing on from this life.

Nothing ever has been and ever will be the same in the Presley world without her, down here, celebrating with us.

Though many who claim to love her, won't acknowledge her day like they did her father's, not a year goes by where I am not thinking of her on the first of February, among many other days throughout the year. A few others showed up to the white musical gates to honor her at the same time I did. And I know for a fact there are many others around the globe who would have shown up if they lived closer. This goes to show how well loved and remembered she will ALWAYS be.

To Lisa, your flame will forever burn. Your light will never dim, just as it remained during your entire 54 years on God's earth. Thank you for the music. Thank you for your fierce, non-apologetic spirit. Thank you for upholding your daddy's legacy as well as creating one for yourself. You are missed but I know you are dancing with Ben and your dad and that you are free. LMFP forever. I will always love you.
